Discover Paris 66 Bistro

Paris 66 Bistro on 6018 Centre Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206, United States, is one of those hidden gems that makes you feel instantly at home. From the moment I stepped through the door, the aroma of freshly prepared dishes and the warm, inviting ambiance made it clear why locals rave about this spot. The bistro’s interior combines rustic charm with modern touches-exposed brick walls, cozy seating, and soft lighting that invites lingering conversations over a plate of something extraordinary.

During my visit, I tried a few of their standout dishes that truly showcase their culinary expertise. The coq au vin was a revelation: tender chicken slow-cooked in a rich, aromatic red wine sauce, paired with perfectly seasoned vegetables. I noticed that many dishes incorporate seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, which not only supports regional farmers but also ensures freshness that is noticeable with every bite. A friend who is a Pittsburgh food critic mentioned that Paris 66 Bistro’s attention to ingredient quality aligns with trends in sustainable dining, something increasingly important in today’s culinary world.

The menu offers an impressive variety, catering to diverse tastes. From lighter fare like fresh salads and charcuterie boards to hearty options such as duck confit and seafood pasta, each dish seems thoughtfully crafted to balance flavor, texture, and presentation. On weekends, the bistro features a brunch menu that is worth planning for. The croissant French toast is delightfully crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, served with a delicate drizzle of maple syrup that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. According to a recent survey on Pittsburgh dining trends, restaurants offering creative brunch experiences see higher repeat visits, which explains why Paris 66 Bistro is consistently busy even during off-peak hours.

Service at Paris 66 Bistro stands out almost as much as the food itself. The staff is knowledgeable, offering insightful recommendations and explaining preparation methods with a friendly, unhurried manner. For example, when I asked about their wine pairings, the server described the flavor profiles in detail, which made selecting a bottle a much more enjoyable experience. Studies from the National Restaurant Association highlight that diners value informative service, and this bistro clearly takes that to heart.

I’ve visited multiple restaurants in Pittsburgh, but Paris 66 Bistro strikes a rare balance between sophistication and comfort. The ambiance encourages long, relaxed meals without feeling pretentious, making it suitable for everything from casual outings to special celebrations. Reading online reviews, many patrons echo this sentiment, praising both the food and the welcoming environment. It’s easy to see why the restaurant has earned a reputation among both locals and visitors looking for a memorable dining experience.

For anyone exploring 6018 Centre Ave, Pittsburgh, the location itself is convenient and adds to the charm of the experience. Nearby attractions make it easy to combine a meal at the bistro with a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood. In my personal experience, visiting during the evening allows guests to enjoy a quieter setting where the soft background music complements the dining experience, enhancing the overall sense of relaxation.

Overall, Paris 66 Bistro is more than just a restaurant-it’s a destination for food lovers who appreciate meticulous preparation, thoughtful presentation, and an inviting atmosphere. The consistent quality of their menu items, paired with attentive service, makes every visit feel like a well-curated experience. Even on a busy night, the staff manages to maintain a sense of calm professionalism, which reinforces the bistro’s reputation as a trusted and enjoyable spot for any occasion.

  • One of my favorite French place, we were here for Mother’s Day brunch. Food was good as usual, but 3 course menu was overpriced imo. We’ve been here during regular hours and know the price pretty well.

  • Pittsburgh friends turned us on to Paris 66 Bistro while visiting, and the four of us went for dinner. And it's a gem. The food was excellent. There were accommodations for my husband's gluten allergy. There's something for nearly everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-free options or adaptations. (There will likely be off-menu specials, too.) We enjoyed a full dinner, appetizers, wine, and dessert. Meal prices align with better restaurants with items at various price points. We received full attention from our servers without it feeling overbearing. The atmosphere is lovely. We felt like we were in France and even got to practice a little French with the owner, who is French (though French isn't needed). There is a parking garage near, beside/behind the restaurant, and street parking. As a closing note, we're a gay couple who felt welcome. I highly recommend considering Paris 66 Bistro.

  • We had a lovely experience at Paris 66! Had my fiancés birthday dinner here and everything was perfect. It’s super charming inside and really makes you feel you are tucked in a small cafe in France! The food is incredible! We had the crab salad, Kobe beef, asparagus, and truffle fries! Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty! The crème brulle was delicious and they did a little sparkler on a macron for her bday, which was very appreciated. Our server Adian was phenomenal! Professional, great understanding of the menu, attentive, and overall just a really nice guy. We enjoyed our convos with him and sincerely appreciated his attention to detail! 10/10, we will most certainly return! They do have a parking garage right next to the restaurant if there is no street parking available! Also, make sure to look at the menu. This is an experience not an Applebees. Don’t be like the guy next to us complaining about price and portion size the entirety of dinner. It’s 100% worth the money for what you get and the service you receive!

  • My wife and I had a superlative brunch today at Paris 66. Our authentic French dining experience was shaped and enhanced by our waiter Moshe, fluent in French, proud of Pittsburgh, full of good humor and panache. We vacationed in Paris last year and had many memorable meals there...Today's brunch brought us right back. I don't usually eat eggs or dairy but made a happy exception today, the patisserie and (savory) crepes were excellent. Next time we visit Pittsburgh, we'll make a beeline for Paris 66 and dinner. À bientôt!

  • Some of the best food I have EVER had. Don't spend high dollar on food much because I'm worried it won't be worth it but this place is 100% worth it. Our server was Aidan who provided us with exceptional service and was so helpful when navigating our first experience here. The atmosphere is so cool and very comfortable, I really loved all the decoration and the French music they played this is exactly the place I hoped it would be. I can not recommend the tri tip steak ENOUGH, the flavor is sooooo good and it's so flavorful I couldn't believe it. This is definitely the place to go for higher end dining in the burgh. The creme brulee is a MUST!
